RM150 per 36 images = RM 4.17 per image
Minimum 4 Rolls for 4 Hours
RM 600 (4 Hours) = RM150 per hour AND per 36 images
now in a 4 hour event, you trigger happy shoot up to 500 shutters = RM 2085.00
minus skills & knowledge 20%, now you charge your client RM1,668 per 4 hour event. if you think you're crap, minus more maybe 30%-40%.
now lets see how much you make from RM1,668.00
Album RM60
4R (100pcs) RM40
Few enlargements 6R + 8R RM40
CD RM2
Toll RM10
Petrol RM50
Phone Bill RM10
Electric/Water/Internet RM25
Others (equipment,etc) RM150
Total cost RM387
Wedding charges RM1,668 - cost RM387 = RM1,281 thats your estimate profit.
one month = 4 weekends
one weekend = 3 days of work (friday, saturday, sunday)
total wedding in a month maximum 12 days of work
target minimum 4 jobs a month
RM1,281 x 4 = RM5,124 per month
12 months = RM61,488 a year
target 8 jobs a month
RM1,281 x 8 = RM10,248 per month
12 months = RM122,976 a year

Wedding photography is a beautiful industry. there's always a demand for it. i strongly advice you newbies NOT to undercharge a client. don't do it for making a quick buck. DO IT FOR THE LOVE OF WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY. DO IT FOR THE BUSINESS. DO IT FOR THE INDUSTRY.
